The success of any organisation is largely dependent on a number of factors, including the ability to market one's purpose and furthermore to serve a unique function within a specific field of undertaking.
In South Africa currently, each organisation involved in animal protection/welfare has its own communications infrastructure thereby focusing on specific issues relating to its own field of endeavour.
With this in mind, the founding committee of ANIMAL INTELLIGENCE NEWS MEDIA comprising George Mandel (photographic journalist) and Irene Webb (Commercial Artist DTP and Illustrator) proposed and unanimously agreed to create a media service.

The primary function of the media centre is to promote all the animal protection organisations' aims and projects, specifically where these organisations cannot do so for themselves or require assistance.
In addition to this, the media centre will be used to inform and promote general activities relating to the protection of all the earth's animal species.
The service will be made available to all member or associate organisations engaged in the protection of domestic animals and wildlife.
